SIL (Supported Independent Living)
Supported Independent Living (SIL) is one of our key services in Town Common to enable you to live in a highly independent way, yet to have support at hand when it is needed. SIL supports you in your day-to-day needs, such as preparing meals, house duties, and hygiene, in a home environment. This accommodation is particularly useful for someone in the process of building their independence, in the process of finding their dream home, or waiting for their NDIS home to be completed.

STA (Short-Term Accommodation)
STA is one of our services offered in Town Common. STA allows a person to enjoy short-term stays in a caring environment, something that is useful in many ways. Whether you need a time-out, would prefer to get a feel of independent living for the first time, or need a time-out in your existing living setup, STA is there to provide just the right support and assistance during a short-term stay.
STA is designed to give a person a chance to live in a new home, enjoy personalized support, and take a time-out without a long-term housing arrangement. STA is also a great option for caregivers in need of a time-out period, having their loved one in a secure, caring environment. The short-term nature of STA means flexibility, something that allows a person to enjoy a caring place to live for as long as desired.
Respite
Respite services provide a break and relief to caregivers and also to the individual, allowing everyone to rest and take time for themselves. There are also respite services in Town Common for those that require a short-term stay in a highly supported environment. This is ideal for those that require a rest from their usual living arrangement or require support over a period.

- Support 24/7 for high needs: In high needs, our staff is available 24/7 to provide support that is personalized to cater to your needs, ensuring that you receive help when you need it.
- Support to transfer in and out of bed: Mobility support is of great essence to someone having a mobility issue. Our staff is skilled to transfer in and out of bed safely to support comfort and dignity.
- Medication support: The staff is capable of aiding you in managing medicine to support prescription taken accurately and in a timely manner. We support you in keeping a watch on medicine schedule and reminding you when you need it.
- Building everyday living skills through training: We deliver one-on-one training to support you in developing everyday living skills such as cleaning, meal preparation, and personal hygiene routines. Our objective is to support you in becoming more independent in performing everyday routines while strengthening your capacity to manage day-to-day responsibilities.
- Assistance with housework, i.e., shopping or washing: The house’s cleanliness is paramount to health. We assist in housework such as shopping, cleaning, or washing, offering support when you need it to provide a home that is comfortable to live in.
- Social skills training: Social interaction is a key aspect of independent living. We assist you to learn social skills to enable you to move around socially, interact socially, and develop social networks.
- Social group work between housemates: Social group work is a fun process in our programs, allowing you to interact socially and develop social networks in a fun-filled social group.
- Meal preparation and preparing healthy, delicious meals: Preparation of meals, meal planning, and cooking is done by our team to provide you with healthy, nutritious meals. We also instruct you to cook independently to equip you with culinary skills.
- Facilitation of behaviour support strategies: As need dictates, our team in consultation with behaviour support practitioners facilitates individual behaviour support strategies to provide a useful and constructive means of managing problem behaviour.
- Support to attend medical appointments: We assist you in arranging and attending medical appointments, arranging transport, and ensuring that you receive support during consultations to health practitioners.
- Supervision support, personal safety, and security: Our team is there to provide supervision support to enable you to stay safe and secure in the home and in the community. We take active action to provide a secure home.
- Support to use transport in your community: We assist you to use transport to move around independently in the community, advising you on routes, times, and safety procedures.
