As a Registered Supported Independent Living (SIL) organization, our vision is to enable people with disabilities in the Shire of Burdekin to live independently to whatever extent that is required of them yet receive support that is needed of them. From Supported Independent Living (SIL) to respite services, our services offer one-on-one support to enable participants to live their independent lives in a community that is attuned to their individual needs. We work towards ensuring that everyone is provided a diverse range of high-quality, person-centered services to feel a sense of belongingness and comfort in their day-to-day existence.
Be it spending time with their family, indulging in social interaction, or working or studying, our services enable provision of flexibility and support to enable all of this to become a reality. Our services, including SIL, Medium-Term Accommodation (MTA), Short-Term Accommodation (STA), and respite, are created to support participants in their NDIS journey. STA (Short-Term Accommodation
STA services give participants short-term care, sometimes short-term stay, to obtain a relief from their day-to-day life or rest that they need. This is ideal for those that need to rest, get a new environment, or receive their care when regular relatives or carers need a short-term relief.
STA is also a wonderful opportunity for participants to get familiar with new environments, attend events, or enjoy new experiences.
Respite
Respite care is a highly useful service that brings relief of a short-term nature to relatives and carers in order to allow them to take a hard-earned rest.
