About Blue Mountains
The Blue Mountains, a tourist destination of New South Wales, has a natural environment, rugged landscape, and cultural heritage. Blue Mountains, being a short drive from Sydney, is a favorite among residents and tourists, with its peaceful environment from the urban chaos. Blue Mountains has a very heterogeneous society and has access to different forms of communal provision, and hence, a very viable location for people with disabilities to live and thrive.

Our home care offers a supportive and safe environment for individuals with disabilities where they can live independently in their homes. We can perform housekeeping, cooking, and medication, and other supportive duties, and our clients can live with peace of mind and dignity. Our home care also happens to be convenient, with individual needs being made arrangements for and can be for short- or long-term.
For individuals with evening and night time needs, our evening and nighttime care caters for them. Our experienced caregivers also take charge of evening and sleeping needs, such as reminding them of medication, personal needs, and safety checks, when asleep. We ensure participants feel safe and comfortable sleeping, with access to their necessary care, when needed.
We offer private, individualised individualized care with flexibility and customization for individual needs of our clients. The private care can be for individuals with individualised, personalized needs not covered under their regular NDIS. The private care best works for individuals with additional needs for assisting with day-to-day needs, and also for individuals with additional professional and individualised treatment, and can be made into their schedule.
For individuals with complex care needs or those requiring round-the-clock assistance, we provide 24-hour care. This service ensures that participants receive continuous support throughout the day and night, with caregivers available to meet any medical or personal care needs. Our 24-hour care service is designed to promote independence while providing the highest level of care and safety.
Our NDIS Behaviour Support offers individuals a way of assisting them in maintaining and changing their behavior for the better. Our team of experts works with participants in developing supportive behavior plans with goals of improving communication, social skills, and emotional regulation. We want individuals to be able to achieve behavioral improvements and live better lives.
Social And Community Involvement
Social and communal engagements also play major roles in determining the lives of people with disabilities for improvement. Personal care services are an integral component of our services. Our professional staff supports individuals with their personal hygiene needs including washing, grooming, clothing, and toileting, and helping them achieve their personal health and dignity. We offer respectful and personalized care, responding to individual participants’ needs and wants.

Supported Independent Living (SIL)
Supported Independent Living (SIL) is one of our main services for participants with day-to-day needs and still want to live independently in their homes. Our SIL housing in Blue Mountains provides individuals with the freedom they need in order to live independently with access to support when necessary. The variety of SIL services we provide vary from personal care, cooking, housekeeping, medication, and being able to engage with the community. We understand the need of being in a comfortable, safe, and interactive environment, and hence, we also provide individualized support for every individual’s needs and requirements. Our housing has been planned with the idea of being independent and still being able to avail necessary care when necessary.
NDIS Medium Term Accommodation (MTA)
Medium Term Accommodation (MTA) provides participants of the NDIS with transition and short-term needs for future more stable housing. Blue Mountains provides its participants with arrangements of MTA, where they are able to be provided with a short-term housing solution where their needs can be addressed and transitioned into more stable arrangements, hospital stays, and from hospital and rehab stays. The optimal for those between housing and for more stable housing, this has flexibility and the degree of needed support. The service supports participants in maintaining quality care and staying in a stable, community-centered environment for this transition.
NDIS Short Term Accommodation (STA)/Respite Care
NDIS Short Term Accommodation (STA) or Respite Care has been established for the purpose of giving their caregivers a break and ensuring participants continue receiving their treatment and support in safety. To Blue Mountains’ informal carers and families, this service offers them a wonderful means of relaxation, with their loved ones receiving proper treatment and being accommodated in homely and comfortable settings. Participants can be accommodated for a limited amount of time, and for the period of their stay, they will be provided with personalized support services. The services are of maximum use for individuals who may need interim housing for purposes of hospital stays and vacations with their families, and where regular provision of their needs may not be feasible. Our respite services are designed for participants in order for them to be able to experience their stay and also for their caregivers and families to gain peace of mind.
Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA)
Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) supports people with extreme functional impairment and very high needs. Blue Mountains provides individuals with complex disabilities with a variety of SDA solutions, focusing on their individual needs. The SDA homes are designed with accessibility and autonomy, with environments where participants can grow and thrive. The SDA homes are fully equipped with the best and latest innovations and highest quality of technology, and people with higher levels of need can live in comfortable, safe, and fully supportive environments. SDA can be designed with such factors as ceiling hoists, higher security, and easy access into and around communal spaces, responding to individual needs of our participants.
Complex Care and High Care
For individuals with complex needs and higher needs, Blue Mountains are also accommodated for their needs. The complex and higher needs homes of our organisation provide maximum levels of support in homely environments. The participants with their chronic illnesses, extreme levels of cognitive and physical disabilities, and higher needs of age-related illnesses are accommodated. The participants are helped with their day-to-day needs, including their mobility, medication, and personal needs, with our professional and experienced staff on hand. The individual needs of every participant are considered when their individualised care plans are created, and they are promised the best levels of support, dignity, and respect.
Assisted Living
Assisted living for individuals with minimal need for extra help with their needs on a day-to-day basis, still being able and eager to live with very high quality independent freedom. The Blue Mountains’ assisted housing provides participants with minimal needs, for example, needing extra help with their personal needs, cooking, and medication, with the necessary support. The vision of participants being able and independent with their autonomy and being able to participate with their environment with access when necessary. The housing provides participants with a comfortable, homestyle, and adaptive environment where they can live independently with reassurance of support.
Housing Design Types
High Physical Support
High Physical Support (HPS) housing accommodates individuals with high levels of physical needs of support due to extreme physical disabilities. The housing has specialized equipment, such as overhead hoists, movable beds, and toilet provision, for individuals with extreme levels of needs of movement, and accommodates individuals with extreme levels of needs of movement with every need of the day. Blue Mountains has our HPS housing with safety, highest freedom of action and choice, and 24/7 nursing and personal care, if necessary. Our housing accommodates individuals with complex needs of the physical type, with highest levels of nursing and personal care, in enabling and supportive environments.
Robust Housing
Robust Housing can take participants with more need, and can be quite demanding on their housing environment. The homes are sturdy, solid, and can take participants with very high need, and still be able to offer them a comfortable and homely environment. Our Blue Mountains’ robust housing offers the best environment for individuals with the need for a stable and safety-conscious environment where they can live, with such homes being equipped with mechanisms for resisting wear and tear and overall residents’ health.
Accessible Accommodation
Accessible Accommodation accommodates people with mobility disabilities, and they can independently access their homes, if not with minimal human effort. The homes are equipped with accessibility devices including ramps, wider entrance, access toilets, and low counters. Blue Mountains have varying homes for people with disabilities of a physical nature. The homes facilitate easy movement of participants, easy execution of every day’s task, and satisfaction of their needs without barriers in traditional homes.
Improved Livability
Improved Livability housing prioritizes people with disabilities’ quality of life. The homes are designed for more comfortable functioning on a day-to-day basis, such as cooking, housekeeping, and movement, utilizing user-centered design and accessibility. Blue Mountains Improved Livability solutions are for individuals who don’t require extensive levels of physical support, but their environment must be modified for them to live independently and with more levels of comfort. The homes are designed for people who can be independent, with residents being able to live their lives fully and engage more fully with their communities.
